In my Presidential address on 18 June, I will be talking about the IFoA’s new VSMD (Vision, Skillsets, Mindsets and Domains) strategy. The Council and the Executive Team have been working hard on this for the last twelve months.
However, as we all know culture eats strategy for breakfast.
Unless we have the right culture, we will not be able implement the strategy with skill, care and speed.
We must create a culture where we place
i. relevance and engagement alongside compliance and standards
ii. speed and responsiveness above reverence for process
iii. celebration of excellence and diversity of ideas above conformity .
