A colleague sent me a 60-minute video by Rene Carayol. In the video, Rene spoke on the issues of cultural change with conviction, purpose, and inspiration. He had three themes.

Leaders are not born or made. Leadership are found when they respond to crisis. Management is not leadership. Management means compliance, project plans, balanced scorecard, critical success factors, the KPIs and everything that ensures we do not make mistakes.
Leadership is about winning. Leadership is about vision, people, teams and culture. This is what separates the winners from the losers. Everyone has got to do the management but those who can bring in the leadership are special.
Leadership is the art of accomplishing more than the science of management says is possible.
Leadership is an attitude. When the sea is calm, everyone is a good sailor. But the truly good sailors are the ones who sail through the rough seas.
